Who Let the Dogs Out?
Seriously, this is a project that I have been working on for a long time and it has truly been a labor of love. The original Dog Crazy was designed by the very talented, Jan Speed from A Piece of Work Designs who retired a couple of years ago. Lucky for us, this design will not retire with her as I purchased the rights to it.
This block measures 23" x 26" finished and is jam packed with so much detail. Each time you look at it you will see something new. Very little changed from Jan's original design. I had to add my faithful friend and constant companion, Stella, to my design who sat with me while adding every single stitch. Feel free to change up one of the dogs that resembles your own pooch to make it even more special.
The crazy stitching was all done using Crazy Stitches. They are preprinted, water soluble stitch guides that make every stitch perfectly even. This is not a requirement, feel free to make up your own stitches. There is even a diagram that is included in the pattern of the stitches that Jan used.
